Zhang+Knight are a directing duo by day and suspected 17th Century
Renaissance painters by night, thanks to their highly stylized aesthetic
dreamscapes and emotive use of light and colour. The directors’ own identities
are a great inspiration throughout their work, as can be seen in the film they
created alongside a UK charity to ban ‘conversion therapy’ for trans people.
